Flight 1
Dark Star Axnea [male]
Visit Him!

All chasers are female

Axnea was a one track mind kind of guy. Once he decided on something, it would take an event close to the ending of the world to get him to stray from it. He also wasn’t very social, so when he graced Dragonmaster Galileo’s office with his presence, the hybrid man was a little surprised.

“Yes?” he prompted, when it was clear the Daemon would not be offering up his information willingly. The arrogant male grinned at him, well, his version anyways.

“I’ve decided on something. I want to have a flight,” he was perfectly straight faced, and the Dragonmaster was just a little confused.

“You mean you want to go somewhere and chase a female?” he put his pen down, placing his scrolls to the side. The Daemon chuckled.

“Not quite. I don’t see why it should always be about the female. See, I want to mate. Now. And I do not desire to compete with other males to do so. I want my own flight. A backwards flight,” he seemed to preen for a moment, “one where the girls chase me.”

Galileo was silent for a moment. He had heard of this before. In fact, his own Castello was known for their geneticist, Eve, creating clutches from two males via their DNA, “Axnea, how do you expect to get a group of females, ready themselves to rise, in one place, at one time, just to chase after you.”

The Dark Star Daemon seemed a little affronted at this, especially when Galileo went on to mention it would be a blood bath.

“You were just thinking of Eve, and her scientific wonders, correct?” the hybrid nodded, “I wish for you to speak with her, and procure, or come up with, a drug that, once I have chosen the female I desire, she can administer to them to make them fertile. Then we shall have a private flight, between the two of us. And voila. I have offspring.”

The dark haired hybrid shook his head, rubbing at his temples. It would be no problem for Eve of course, and she would probably foam at the mouth at the chance to try something new in her lab. But, “You are one crude, arrogant SOB.”

“I know what those letters stand for, you know,” if dragons could raise an eyebrow, Axnea would probably be doing so.

“I couldn’t think of a more diplomatic term,” Galileo smirked at him, “but fine. I’ll speak with Eve, and we’ll see if you can gather the females. Which I doubt. But go ahead.”

Axnea chuckled as he made his way towards the doors, “The ladies love the bad boy. They always do.”

_______________________________________________

It had taken awhile, but Axnea had indeed found five females that were… crazy? Enough to go along with his scheme. Galileo stood on a balcony next to the purple and black feathered Daemon, watching as the females stretched and prepared themselves. It was a gorgeous day, and it had been decided there was no better time than the present.

The one that stood out to Galileo was a pretty little Azonese girl, the only one without feathers. He personally hoped Axnea would overlook that part of his requirement, because Lyeax had some gorgeous lightning-marks that he’d like to see on the Daemon’s offspring.

He noticed the Daemon looking over the ladies, sizing them up, “What do you think?” he asked conversationally.

Axnea ruffled his feathers, “Perryan is out,” he concluded.

“What?!” Galileo nearly stammered, “But… she’s quite beautiful. And a Daemon mutt. Your offspring would be almost full Daemon! And her colors…”

“She lives here,” the Daemon snorted, “I do not wish to see her constantly after this. Galileo rolled his eyes at the dragon, muttering something that sounded like ‘commitment phobia’ under his breath. Axnea chose not to comment.

Before the Dragonmaster could enquire any farther, Axnea had leapt from his side, flying down to face the small gathering of ladies. It was time to turn on the charm and get the party started apparently. He wasn’t left alone for long though, as the rabbit anthro that doubled as his mad scientist appeared at his side, her hands tucked neatly into her lab coat pockets.

“Did I miss anything?” she asked, her ears twitching.

“He’s dismissing Perryan. Doesn’t want to see her every day after this,” he muttered. Eve chuckled.

Down below, the teal and purple Perryan was smirking at Axnea as she turned to leave, ‘You’re just scared I’d show you up,’ she threw over her shoulder as she left. The Daemon rolled his eyes.

“I do thank you all for joining me ladies,” he gave them his version of a grin, “Even had I handpicked my suitors, I don’t believe I could have come up with a more desirable bunch.”

Whatever Axnea was saying, Galileo could see his favorite lady swooning. The other three seemed rather indifferent, not at all affected by his charms. He chuckled to himself. Perhaps this would be interesting after all. Surely these ladies would look at it as a competition to prove themselves better than the others.

“Are you going to start flying or not?” Assa asked calmly from the left.

“Well I was making the attempt to get to know you ladies better, but if you’d prefer-” and without warning, the Daemon had taken flight, his large feathered wings beating swiftly to take him farther and farther up into the sky.

Veyalera was next into the sky, her warrior senses having noticed the tightening of his muscles before he had taken off, and anticipating his move. The others were close behind her. The Daemon didn’t seem to be paying them much mind as he made quick loops, turns, dives and rolls, seemingly teasing the ladies as he’d fly just close enough to be out of reach, before darting off again. The blue Alaiskyan seemed ready to play dirty, however, as she noticed the lightning marked Hathian hybrid getting a little too close, and summoned up her breath weapon, sending the purple lady reeling far off course.

“Are they allowed to do that?” Eve seemed to be more asking herself, but Galileo shrugged.

“I doubt Axnea cares. It’s probably feeding his ego.”

And it was true. While Lyeax was making her way back to the ground, ego a little bruised at the mild attack and not feeling quite up to par with the other ladies chasing the Daemon, Axnea was eyeing the Alaiskyan with amusement. Dziewedanth was a little perturbed at the maneuver. Surely none of them would dare attack a gorgeous specimen as herself. She distanced herself a little from the rest out of paranoia however.

While Axnea was distracted however, the dark mutt Assa was calculating his movements and looking for a pattern, using her webbed feet to nearly swim through the air in addition to flying, and perhaps he should have been paying more attention. As he leapt into a dive to avoid the blue-shaded warrior Veyalera, Assa saw her opportunity and dove too, cutting him off a few yards down, latching onto his shoulders with her claws, “Gotcha,” she grinned toothily.

The Daemon was more than a little surprised, but quickly grinned back, “So you do. I guess that’s the end of this then, eh?”

“Ooooh, I can’t wait to see the babies!” Eve crowed, quickly darting off towards her lab. Galileo shook his head. At least nothing around his Castello was ever boring.
